For some reason, there seems to be a certain group of people who want to learn stand-up comedy because they are out of work and want to make a mad dash for fame and fortune in entertainment.
Let me say this–with few exceptions, there is no rapid fame and fortune for ANY entertainment specialty. It takes time and skill. But I want to focus on stand-up comedy specifically.

One of my frequent readers (J. Chase) brought my attention to a new and emerging technology called MyStudio.
In a nutshell, MyStudio is a large kiosk designed for malls and other high traffic areas where someone can pay $20 and get a very high quality video of music, a song or of a stand-up comedy act.
They are also involved in promoting talent contests using the videos produced by individuals using the MyStudio kiosk. Currently, there is one MyStudio kiosk in a mall in Scottsdale, Arizona with expansion to New York and Los Angeles happening in the summer of 2009.

PAR is an abbreviation for Positive Audience Response, which is laughter, cheering or applause.

Are you a clean comedian looking to break into corporate comedy work? Well, there isn’t near as much competition as in the comedy club market and the pay can literally dwarf any comedy club income.
There are a number of very good reasons why there is so little competition in the corporate marketplace when it comes to corporate comedians.
The #1 reason is because there are so few clean comedians that can actually deliver funny comedy that is APPROPRIATE for the corporate market.
