no-wayYes, It’s True.

I know that there are a number of people who read my blogs and wonder…

Did The Prof actually ever perform any stand-up comedy?

Not only did I perform stand-up comedy for over a decade, but here’s something most folks will never get access to – very rare 13 minute encore performance (mp3) that I delivered after a comedy show that I headlined in San Diego with an audience of 400+ people.

A Little Background

I had been doing stand-up comedy professionally for about 30 months when this performance audio was recorded as a part of my comedy CD (1995). I was a headlining comedian on active duty in the Navy with 5 years left to retire.

The encore performance audio clip below was performed for the very first time on stage in this recording. This is one of only a couple of times that I ever even performed this bit because…

It was the only stand-up comedy material I ever did concerning the Navy. I only did it a few times for special audiences.

I usually didn’t want anyone to know I was in the Navy when I was performing on stage. Also, the content matter of this bit made it unacceptable for corporate work.

This 13 minute encore performance is called:

The Best Story I Know

And it involves a rumor that I started about an imaginary creature while on deployment in the Far East that swept the entire 7th Fleet.

This encore clip was performed after an hour long set and a 15 minute break. The PAR Score is only 39 and not my typical peformance level.

Like I said, this was the first time I performed this material on stage. The ONLY reason I could do that much new killer material in one whack was because of the Killer Stand-up Comedy System – which wasn’t even written down at that time.

Here are the critical things you need to know about this audio clip:

- It’s 13 minutes long (no tracks) and provided as an mp3 file (you can download or listen online).

- The material in this stand-up comedy audio clip is R+ rated! If you are 18 or under, do not continue. The material in this clip contains adult content and graphic profanity. This material was never performed at any corporate event. Once you hear it, you’ll understand why. It’s not what I would consider “family friendly” in the least.

- With the exception of the last line in the bit, this story is 100% true. Yes, it happened and yes, that was my job in the Navy.
