For those who may not be familiar with the MyStudio platform, here’s what it is all about:
MyStudio is a “personal recording studio” kiosk that allows entertainers to quickly produce a high quality video “demo” of your talent AND easily submit that demo into one of several contest categories.
One of those categories is for comedians and here’s what you get if you enter and win the comedy contest they are promoting now:
The current MyStudio.net comedy contest will take one lucky and talented winner to Los Angeles California. The winner will receive airfare, 5 star accommodations, all expenses paid, and perform in the Main room on a weekend night at the legendary Comedy Store. Contestants must enter by April 15, 2010.
Well, guess what?
There is now a MyStudio personal recording kiosk in the Opry Mills Mall in Nashville Tennessee (in addition to kiosks in Scottsdale, AZ and Hollywood, CA). East coast comics can now access this cool new technology and enter major comedy contests, designed by comics to help comics with their careers.
All you have to do to enter is go to the MyStudio recording studio located in Nashville Tennessee (or either of the other two locations), record a 3 to five minute routine and enter it into the comedy contest on http://www.mystudio.net/. If you are chosen, you will find yourself in Hollywood being treated like a star, and living like a rock star.
Here’s a quote from the MyStudio Director of Comedy Tony Vicich:
“I design all my MyStudio contests with two things in mind” said Tony. “I think about what my comedy fantasy would have been when I started out, and what could give me a career boost even now. As a veteran stand up comic myself, I know the importance of being seen and the right place at the right time by the right people.”
As I mentioned before, The Comedy Store Contest runs through April 15th, 2010. So all hopefuls should make it to MyStudio at Opry Mills Mall in Nashville, TN (or at the Hollywood CA or Scottsdale AZ locations) as soon as possible. This is your chance to jumpstart your career, and have a great time while doing it!
