record-cdOne of the things that is important to many comedians is to record their first stand-up comedy CD.

Well, you don’t need an hour long act to do that. As a matter of fact, I recommend that anyone with 20+ solid minutes of comedy material record their act for sales after shows and on their website.

Getting a high quality audio recording is usually far easier than getting a high quality video recording.

In order to record your comedy show, you will need to talk to the person who runs the sound board for the comedy club or venue you will be performing at (“the sound guy”). He will tell you the recording equipment you will need to record your comedy CD.

This used to be done with a DAT recorder. But I am sure that there are very reasonable digital solutions available now (you can usually rent the equipment if needed).
