Yet another gem. Thanks Steve. I do need to mark the minute point of my sets so I can see how to improve each minute and “tighten” it up. DUH! How did I not realize this on my own? It seems like a no-brainer!
For me to think I’m ahead of the curve and on top of my game, and miss this OBVIOUS necessity… Shows I am still a rookie. Hopefully, I’ll be ROOKIE OF THE YEAR!
I’ll try the book. I want as much help and advice as I can get. I feel like you are an online mentor for me. I anxious to start the 5 free lessons.
As far as expressions, that Regan guy is the one to study. We might not need to exaggerate or distort our expressions as much as him, but as performers in a 3- dimensional arena, it’s a must to use them.
This is my area of weakness. I need to refine and practice. I have recorded myself praticing, and I need to smooth the rough edges, but I was pleased with the results. I used my notes though. I have to rehearse like that band you mentioned.
I guess taking the craft seriously and praticing professionally is what seperates the talented open-mic kid from the headlining comedy killers.
I know what group I’m striving toward.
