It’s just like acting in a comedy! You rehearse and rehearse and rehearse. But during those rehearsals there was no laughter or applause. So the director needs to remind everyone to pause for the laughter. People want to laugh. But there is one thing they want to do more than that–hear what you have to say. So the audience will instinctively stop laughing so they can listen to you. So whether you are performing in a comedy play or performing stand up, plan for and be ready for the laughter or you will not get the laughs!
I found these 10 tips very useful, but I am still stuck as to where to begin, I have jokes, but when it comes to performingit just seems not funny, I dont know if its just me, can anyone give me a bit of advice?
