Seeing the second misconception really made me happy and I am sure it must have made a whole load more people happy. It liberating to know that you don’t need a “joke formula” to be great. There are exciting times ahead for many comedians!
I definitely find that performance to performance review is incredibly important. The funny thing is that most people will not do that since it can be viewed as ‘tedious’. But is is such a critical component to success. Steve, the three points are all very nice. I hope that with me practicing everyday in my bedroom will produce amazing results.
I like the emphasis on actionable comedy. I do find that most of the comedy advice seems to contain way to much theory. I was listening to an audiobook about the history of comedy and I found it disappointing that all the book talked about was the theory. I do like your style of approach.
